Lunamoth
Luna clings to the window
basking in strangeness
a darkened room that we light with a candle
her shadow speaks changes
the fringe where we fall off the universe
is obsolete now
align again somehow
till we remember
Luna glows in the moonlight
we’re delighted to see this
newly emerged from her silken cocoon
along with this sweetness
the fringe where we fall off the world
erase and erode
worn out at the node
till we dance
So dance with me this dance
dance in the space where our eyes come together
where your sight and mine
fold in till we find
there’s only one of us here
only one of us here
and we’re one with the emerald skittering by
and all is united with you and I
Luna glides from the pane
she lands on the trellis
walks on a silver rose petal
got a message to tell us, she says
the fringe where we fall off our fears
it’s time we fell off it
What do we see, what do we feel
wrestling reviving then robbed of what’s real
united in spirit
just slightly off key singing blind barcaroles
what do we gain, what do we lose
confronted by changes, conniving to choose
does it profit at all
to sell back the world if we get back our souls
What do we wonder, what do we dream
our lives and illusions and all in between
shall we follow the moth
as she rises and flies up and over the knoll
Tie us with a frenulum
come and soar with me
celebrate our being together
expect more from me
the fringe where we fall off our mind
is in need of repair
and what solace there
till we surrender
till we dance
So dance with me oh my lover
dance in the space where our touch comes together
where your hands and mine
fan out till we find
there’s only one of us here
only one of us here
and we’re one with the four-wing fluttering by
and all is united with you and I
